#Giving Tuesday

The world’s rain forests could completely vanish in a hundred years at the current rate of deforestation.

In honor of Giving Tuesday, today’s post will have a bunch of charities that are promoting conservation.  Let me know if you know of any that I missed!

Amphibian Ark

100% of funds donated to Amphibian Ark will be spent on ensuring a long-term future for threatened amphibians, and donations to the Amphibian Ark are tax-deductible for most US tax-payers.

Amphibian Specialist Group

The Amphibian Survival Alliance is the world’s largest partnership for amphibian conservation. By focusing on amphibians and the sites and habitats upon which they depend, we are working with our Partners to improve the quality of life for amphibians, for other wildlife and for people around the world.

Conservation International

Forests provide the air we breathe, they filter the water we drink, they reduce carbon pollution and they support the livelihoods of millions of people. But every year, the planet loses an area of forest the size of Costa Rica.

That’s where you come in. When you protect an acre of forest for $15, you’ll help create a healthier, more prosperous, more productive planet, for you and for everyone.

The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy

Our Mission: conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends

Rainforest Alliance

The Rainforest Alliance works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior.

Rainforest Trust

Donations to Rainforest Trust support our programs to buy rainforest lands to protect endangered species and preserve biodiversity.
SAVE THE FROGS! is the world’s leading amphibian conservation organization. Our mission is to protect amphibian populations and to promote a society that respects and appreciates nature and wildlife. We work in California, across the USA, and around the world to prevent the extinction of amphibians, and to create a better planet for humans and wildlife.

Tesoros De Columbia
Tesoros de Colombia Sustainable Farm is a private company created by conservationists aimed to conserve native and endemic Colombian species through sustainable biocommerce, research and habitat protection.

Tree Walkers International

TWI supports the protection, conservation, and restoration of wild amphibian populations through hands-on action, as well as fosters personal relationships between people and nature by providing opportunities for citizens of all ages to become directly involved in global amphibian conservation.

Be the voice for those who have no voice.

WWF’s way of conserving the planet’s natural resources combines our unmatched global reach with a foundation in science. We take action at every level and ensure the delivery of innovative solutions that meet the needs of both people and nature. You can help support our work in many ways— from speaking out for animals on our Action Center or sharing our message in an e-card to becoming a WWF member.
